Natural Remedies for Toothache
Toothache is pain around a tooth
that may be caused by conditions such as tooth decay, infected gum, tooth
fracture, blow to the tooth and so on. Toothache occurs when the most sensitive
part of the tooth called the pulp becomes inflamed.
There are various home remedies to
ease toothache!!!
Ice: Cover ice pack with a face towel and apply it to the part
of the cheek where the pain is located. It will give you temporary relieve from
the pain.
Salt rinse: Add a spoonful of salt to a glass of warm water and let
the salt dissolve. Gargle solution in your mouth making sure it splashes the
affected areas. Repeat several times a day until the pain goes down.
Garlic : Smash a clove of garlic and apply
it to the affected area inside the mouth. Alternatively, you can apply a clove
of garlic with a little rock of salt to relieve toothache.
Ginger: Remove skin from a ginger root and cut a small piece. Put
the piece of ginger in your mouth on top of the painful tooth and bite down on
it.
Hydrogen peroxide: Swoosh a little bit of hydrogen peroxide in the mouth. You
can dilute it with just a little bit of water.
Hard liquor: Pour some hard liquor like brandy or vodka onto a cotton
ball and apply to affected area. This remedy is most useful if toothache is
caused by a mild infection or blow to the tooth.
Vanilla extract: Place two or three drops of vanilla extract onto affected
tooth for instant relieve.
Lime:Cut a piece of lime and put it on aching tooth. Bite into
it to release some lime juice.
Onion: Chew on some fresh onions to kill bacteria in the mouth
that may be causing pain. It also prevents future tooth decay.
Potato: Remove potato skin, cut a piece and hold it on sore tooth
for about 15 minutes. You can also marsh potato and salt and apply it to tooth.
Tea bag: Place hot tea bag on affected tooth to get instant relief.
Tea leaves contains tannins that naturally numb things.
Pepper : Make a paste with a pinch of
pepper and clove oil. Apply paste to affected tooth and get relieve from toothache.
Tea tree oil: Add a few drops of tea tree oil to cotton ball and apply
it to affected tooth. You can also add a few drops of the oil to lukewarm water
and rinse your mouth with it.
